Final warning A formal verbal warning given by a police officer to a young person who admits they are guilty of a second minor offence or a serious first offence. The young person may receive help from the youth offending service to stop them reoffending.
Flick knife A knife where the blade is hidden inside the handle and shoots out when a button is pressed.
Family law A special section of the law which hears and settles cases relating to families and children, in or out of court.
Faulty goods Something you have bought which does not work properly.
General affirmation A non-religious oath made by a person giving evidence in court.
Grievous bodily harm (GBH) An act of violence which causes serious injury.
