National minimum wage
The least amount someone should be paid for an hour’s work if they work in the UK. The rate varies according to the person’s age.

National Minimum Wage Act
An Act which gives most people who work in the UK the right to a minimum hourly wage.

Neighbourhood Policing Team
Police officers and police community support officers who work in one specific area and are available to talk to people about their crime and anti-social behaviour concerns. Every neighbourhood in England and Wales has their own team.

Noise nuisance
To continually disrupt others who live in the neighbourhood with noise, for instance with loud music or rowdy behaviour.

Oath
A solemn declaration to tell the truth.

Opinion
What someone thinks about a particular subject, question or event.
