Clerk A person who looks after all the documents during a trial and who makes sure that the jury takes an oath to give a true verdict.
Community A group of people living in a particular local area.
Community order This punishment order requires people aged 18 or over to perform between 40 and 300 hours’ unpaid community work.
Compensation Money awarded by a court to make amends for something.
Compensation order This orders a criminal to pay money to his or her victim to make up for the loss or damage caused.
Consequences The results of acting in a particular way.
Contracts Written or spoken agreements between two people, or between one person and an organisation, or between two organisations.
