In this activity, the students discover what sentence Ryan was given for his crime.
Discussion
Talk about sentencing. What punishment do the students think would fit Ryan's crime and stop him from re-offending?
Extension activities
Invite students to create a 'menu' of sentences and punishments that they think would fit Ryan's crime. This might include anything from getting him to stack shelves at Avni's Stores, attending workshops on managing his behaviour, or a curfew order.
