This activity encourages students to think about the rights and responsibilities of different kinds of people. The students fill in what they think are the rights and responsibilities involved in passing your driving test, being 18, being a parent and being employed.

Discussion
Talk about the rights and responsibilities of someone who has just passed their driving test. Do their rights and responsibilities conflict at all, and if so, how?

Extension activities
Invite the students to work in small groups to draw up a list of the rights and responsibilities they have in school. Do they conflict with each other? Are they different to those of a teacher?
