Activity: Smash and run

PSHE & Citizenship 2a. 2b. 2e.

Includes:

Activity 5 is set in Crownford Rise Primary School. Sam has kicked a ball through a window and has run away from the playground. A younger girl, Fezana, has seen Sam smash the window. Sam and Fezana each have a dilemma to resolve. Each dilemma is described in the activity. The children are then presented with a number of options and are asked what Sam and Fezana should do next.

The head teacher has responsibility to treat Sam justly. The children can see how Sam's reaction to what he has done might affect the response of the head teacher and ultimately the penalty he receives.

Notes for this activity continue on the next page.
