Your Justice Your World is an ideal resource for use with the interactive whiteboard. The activities will encourage discussion and participation from the children. Follow this up with group and individual work, which can be completed singly or in pairs, either at the computer or as a paper-based activity.

Activity sheets
To provide a fully blended learning experience, the online activities are supported by downloadable activity sheets. There are eight of these - two for each unit - and you'll find them at the end of the teachers' notes for that unit. |
|
Lessons required There is enough in this resource to cover a whole term of lessons, but it is expected that you will pick and choose what you need. You can either focus on the learning objectives of each unit or take a more topic-based approach. The background information (essential for any non-lawyers) takes a topic-by-topic approach and includes links to the most pertinent activities.

Sample lesson
If you only have time for one lesson, we recommend you go straight to the story of Fezana and Sam: Sam has to decide whether to own up to breaking a window. It starts in Unit 2 with Smash and run: Fezana's choice. |
|
Assessment
Each unit ends with a quiz of multiple-choice questions designed to help you find out how well the children have understood and remembered the information. These are in addition to the online activities, which involve some written input from the students to print out and keep as evidence. |
|
In addition, the activity sheets on a range of topics will reinforce the learning, and we have provided a template for a student self-assessment sheet which you can use if required. |
