Activity: Sandy, Parv and Spike at the police station

PSHE & Citizenship 2c. 4a.

View activity

Sandy, Parv and Spike have been throwing stones onto the railway line and have been taken to the police station. The children gradually reveal the rest of the story by answering a series of questions.

Discussion
Each question will prompt a discussion between the children - either as a class or working with a partner at the computer. Once the series of events has been revealed, the children can then give their opinion about what should happen to Sandy, Parv and Spike. Do they think a charge should be brought against the three children so that they go to court, or should the police give them an informal warning or a caution?

Extension activity
Once the children have decided on a fair decision, they can write a diary entry for Sandy, Parv or Spike in which they reflect on their experience at the police station.
