How laws work
Ask the children to think about a time when a school rule was broken and a teacher or head teacher took action. They can note down the sequence of events and mark when:
  • Information was collected from witnesses.
  • The people involved told their side of the story.
  • The teacher or head teacher thought about what was fair to do.
  • A decision was reached.
  • A penalty was given.
Rail crime
The children can design an information leaflet which warns children of their own age to stay away from the railway tracks.
